What Exactly is an Unlimited Web Hosting Plan?
Obviously, it is unlikely that Google will be transferring their 500 billion dollar a year infrastructure to a shared web host at $10/mth. So what exactly does the unlimited plan entail? You can read our Terms of Service which detail all the limitations and caveats, but as a summary, our service includes the following:
- All the web space you will ever need for a valid web site. If you are wanting to use the space as a file server, file backup, warez distribution site or otherwise abuse the account, you are unlikely to be satisfied with the results. If you are planning to have a 10, 100 or 1000 page website - that is great. The storage is there for you to use as long as the storage use is legitimate.
- All the bandwidth required keeping in mind that the usage is shared and thus it is unlikely that your site will have 100% utilization of the resources available. But again, it is also very unlikely that your site will need all the resources available, and if you do – chances are you will be ready to upgrade to a dedicated account.
- All the email accounts that you require and no limit to the number of emails sent from an account as long as our terms of use are not abused. Any spam will result in loss of all account privileges.
- As many MySQL databases as you require or are willing to administrate. Please note that rogue scripts utilizing an inappropriate amount of CPU or memory may result in a suspension of your account. We take this precaution to protect all of our clients. Once the script situation is demonstrably rectified, we will reinstate the account
Here is what we do not allow:
- Spam. Basically any aggressive email marketing techniques resulting in our mail server being black-listed or otherwise inhibited will result in account cancellation and possible severe penalties.
- Any pornographic, vulgar, hate-based or otherwise illegal materials. Simply put: keep the filth off of our servers. There are companies out there that will be happy to have you. We do not want that kind of stuff on our servers.
- Any violations of digital copyright. Your site can be suspended for any reported violations of the DCMA.
We cooperate fully with all authorities in our jurisdiction and others when dealing with spammers, pornographers, hate literature distributors or any other perpetrators of illegal activities.
